Oakroot, your not the first one to say that about the Sumiko. I see that Mick also made the same comment below in this thread, along with Werner in some personal email that we were doing. Some of the local dealers love them and others steer clear. How come these things get such good reviews if they are so inconsistent ? I had intended on purchasing one of the BPS' but was steered into the Benz Silver for my TT / Arm combo. I was told that this is a much smoother cartridge with better consistency from unit to unit. I dropped it off at Music Direct and will be getting it back after they set it up for the cartridge. The cartridge & set-up is only costing me $250, which i think is a good deal. I also purchased a Ringmat, which some people seem to like and others don't. I guess i'll find out firsthand. Sean
