I do remember a few $10k pieces in there, and Art (sadly RIP) eventually went to some pretty pricey Shindo gear with his Audio Note AN-Es, but there was lots of affordable (<$1000) to mid priced ($2-5k) gear, as well as DIY options in that magazine. I relished every issue.

ETA2: Here's a quote taken from an issue selected at random. Art, reporting on an audio show in Montreal, "What a pleasure to attend a show where the big buzz wasn't about how great it was to stand in line to hear some piece of $#!% (expletive deleted) $500,000 system."
