RE: Fascinating conversation between Mike Hobson and Chad Kassem

No way was I going to listen to the whole thing but I did. Interesting take on the evolution of Classic Records and Analog Productions. Running into that archive at a yard sale is a reoccurring dream of mine. FWIW I don't completely agree with their comments on original pressings. An original pressing has intrinsic collector value regardless of it's sound quality. Just as a new high quality reissue (MFSL, Analog Productions or Speakers Corner) could be considered bargains even if the sound quality doesn't match an original. But I do agree generally with their take on 45 rpm albums. I have 10 or so 45 rpm reissues and every one except one potentially could be the best sounding version I've heard.

A good listen - thanks for the link. Oh yea if someone wants Classic Records contact Acoustic Sounds as the have recently purchased the Classic Records archive.
