RE: Adverted as CF. . . .

The headshell in the advert looks exactly like mine. To tell the truth, I never paid attention to whether it was labeled "CF" or not; I bought it because I wanted a heavy-ish headshell to mate with my Koetsu Urushi. Also because I was in Tokyo, and name brand headshells are far cheaper there than here (as much as 50% price difference), so I bought several during that trip. I weighed it at 18g, and it does work wonders with the Urushi on an FR64S tonearm, already a heavy tonearm. I suspect it is that patch of heterologous material on its undersurface that you mentioned that adds to the mass. If it IS carbon fiber, it is unlike the Yamamoto and Oyaide carbon fiber headshells in that it totally lacks the familiar surface pattern of CF; it's solid black in color, as you know. Anyway, on that same trip to visit my son, I also bought one each of the Yamamoto and the Oyaide CF headshells, which DO have the characteristic pattern of CF and do weigh about 10g each. Actually, as Flood suggested, there are any number of good candidate headshells that weigh less than the LH9000.
