That's interesting. I don't find the current P6 dark, but I also run my phono stage with Grado Prestige Green 1 at 82K, the old Kenwood with that cart and same phono stage (a Muffsy PP4 came off darker, even set at 82K). Though the real reason was it bloated in the lower mids/upper bass, lending a darnkness to the overall sound, plus it did appear to roll off the treble a little too.

As to Fluance, yeah, sounds about right. It's really just the same table with or without the phono stage and a feature or two, but identical in all other respects.
