I bought 3 Coltrane box sets over Labor Day weekend. Coltrane Mono Box set, Coltrane '58 and 1963: New Directions. I haven't listened to all of them yet but I have listened to most of the Mono Box set. It sounds really good. The pressings are quiet and the LPs are well mastered. I've streamed the Mono Box set on Qobuz and I easily prefer the LPs. I don't know if they used digital in the chain but usually the LPs are mastered differently than the CDs. Therefore, LPs can sound better than CDs even if digital was used in the remastering of the LP. So if you have a really good analog setup, the Mono Box set should sound better on LP than CD. For reference, I used my Rega P10/Luxman EQ-500 to compare to the digital stream using my Aurender N100H/Bryston BDA-3.
