the 1.5 isn't going to hurt anything. it's when you don't put enough vtf which allows the mistracking to occur. during mistracking, the stylus actually leaves the surface of the vinyl and is accelerated into the opposite wall (repeatedly) causing physical damage which is permanent.
stay with the 1.5.
