When I moved about 6 years ago, I went with the Sleeve City cardboard boxes. I needed to put my records in storage, then move to my new city, again put the records in storage, and finally move them to my new house. The records were in the boxes for about three years total, and they held up really well.

BTW it was about 7000 records, about 90 boxes total.
