I have a pair of Stevens and Billington TX 103 transformers that I want to build into an SUT for my rig. The TX103 can be configured for various step up ratios. I'd like to make my unit capable of being switched between 1:10 (20dB) or 1:20 (26dB) which requires switching eight poles. I can't find any kind of eight pole switch, the only thing I can think of is a DIP socket into which one would plug separate DIP compnent carriers headers wired for each configuration.Would such a configuration degrade SQ even if I use Gold sockets? I would use fine silver wire to make the connections. Anybody have a better idea?
