Apropos of John's comment, I wonder whether the vendor would be able to drill out the headshell in order to reduce the weight, and my dream headshell would be one where the wires go straight to the gold pins that contact directly with the arm wand contacts. For LOMCs, I don't like that extra useless physical connection between the headshell wiring and the inner side of the headshell. (I cannot hear that it makes much difference with high output cartridges, however.) A very few Japanese high end headshells do away with that connection. Of course, the trade-off is that you cannot experiment with different headshell wires.
