Hi vladimir,I haven't heard a Leach amp so I can't comment how they compare sonically, but design philosophies are completely different. The Leach amp being a symmetric design has short circuit protection, slew limiting and ccs circuits while the AKSA is designed using the minimalist approach. Some people say the extra components have a negative impact on the sonics while many notable amp designers believe the impact to be indetectable. I don't know?
The AKSA is sold only as a complete kit, excluding transformers and case while the Leach is not available as a kit as far as I know, so it up to you to source all the components. As the AKSA is a complete kit with high quality components, the results of AKSA are pretty much guaranteed, as long as you can follow instructions and use a soldering iron.
I have found the Leach amp site a great source of information on amp design and the Leach amp is a excellent example of amp design theory. All I can say is I have built an AKSA and am very happy :) with the results, a lot better than my old Yamaha amp.
If in doubt build both and let us all know the results.
Greg
