I'm skeptical of the idea that room treatments give you any significant
additional flexibility in speaker placement and listening position. In
my room, anyway, they were not that powerful. At least those within my
budget were not. I found that it was important to get positioning right
first and then fine tune things with the traps and the foam, etc.In any case, buy an analog Radio Shack sound level meter and a test CD
containing tones and see what's going on in your room. And then move
things around while looking for an improvement. After that is done,
you will be in a much better position to select approprite treatments
to make things even better.Mike
