Schottky diodes..

are the "best" sounding diodes for audio, based purely on their characteristics. Also, I agree with someone else who mentioned that you don't need HV diodes in this application. Low voltage Schottky diodes are available in axial lead form, from Mouser or Digikey, and they are cheap. If you can fit discrete parts, that is what I would use.

Hexfreds and "fast recovery" diodes are good, but Schottkys are better in my direct experience.
