Changing this cap from a polar to non polar really made a positive sonic difference. To test sound models I'm cobbling WIMA film caps together (additive uf's).
When I go to order a permanent cap - would the type of cap be important?
This doesn't seem to actually be IN the audio path, so could I get away with using something like a Nichicon ES bipolar. Or should I stick with a large dangling WIMA hanging off the board film cap.
