RE: Phosphorus copper wall socket

Images: Original unplated phosphor bronze "Furutech Clone" AC outlet.

Forget about the shite often said about matters like "Furukawa" and "Pure Copper" by Chinese sellers, since it's often bogus information. I have that product you pointed to with a Vanguard sticker on the back of it, and it's the same product as the others in my possession. Just because the Furutech clones can be purchased from Chinese sellers does not mean Taiwan is not involved in the products.

I came across the Furutech clone when it first was introduced by Valab of Taiwan. It was an unplated version that's no longer available, which is too bad since it sounds better than the gold-plated version. I've been hesitant to try a rhodium-plated version, but someday I expect I will. I've done my research and observation and from what I can tell, the product was copied by a Taiwanese manufacturer based on a Furutech design, and although subsequent builds might be made in China, they are exactly like the original unplated product, and all other gold-plated Furutech clone AC outlets in my possession.

There are newer Furutech clones that are claimed to be beryllium copper rather than phosphor bronze, but I have my doubts. Perhaps Tangram will compare the one he owns with the phosphor bronze product I suggested.
