If the CDP is susceptible from any noise on the DC supply voltage, then it's doggy-doodie. Battery discharge noise is so minuscule, any simple filter capacitor could totally eliminate it. If the CDP doesn't have a simple filter cap on the DC input it's a badly designed unit, and most likely will be much more susceptible to other noise on the DC than simple discharge impulses.
