So you are saying that the R means red? So we have red copper plated copper. I did everything I could to find out what red copper is and was told it was just copper. Copper plated copper. Don't sound kosher to me. Maybe red copper isn't just copper?? I have a request for an explanation to CMC. If you know what red copper is as opposed to other types of cu alloys please let me know. As far as I can tell, there is no such thing as red copper. Red brass but no red copper. It's looking like one has to go to Cardas for real unplated cu posts. T456
