together, wil generally loosen up the pins in their sockets. Pulling straight up can be tough if they are stuck or tight. You can also rock them away from you, place a fairly hard, but not narrow and rigid, "stick" (such as the end of a cut-off Q-tip without the cotton) under the side closest to you. Then rock the tube toward you and it should lift a bit.Dave VH
