Also which country is the Amperex in question from? Holland, Great Britain, USA, England, France, or Germany? Though I believe that most 6922 and drop in replacements country of origin is either Holland, Great Britain, or USA for the most part. Any way different countries of origin can/will yield audible differences. Last but not least is the tube a 6922, 7308, 6DJ8, ECC88, or E88CC? As this can/will also yield an audible difference.
The point is unless the tube is the same identical tube from the same country from around the same year then there can/will be differences. With Amperex making tubes in so many places, over so many years, and of so many different types(amongst 6922's and the likes alone) you have many choices. Some will sound very close and some very different.
