I've got a few tele tubes from serviced Mcintosh MC240. All the lettering is wiped off. They supposed to be AX7 and AU7. They are virtually identical smooth long plate variety. Well, four of them test like AX7 but two of them test like 12AT7 on calibrated TV7 meter. Now , I have Tele 12AT7 in Fisher receiver and the tubes look nothing alike. I will post a picture if necessary but I wonder what kind of tubes I have.
