Turn it into a triode with local FB if you can drive the low impedance circuit that will deliver. Tune gain with FB amount and loading.

While not octal, I am using the vertical deflection pentode, type 25HX5 for my next LTP front end. No curves on it, but if it can do vertical amplifier service it should do just fine( as most vert amps were triodes ). The heater voltage is a nice match to the 26LW6/25HU5 finals I will be loading with a Peerless S271S.
