I have a Chinese 6L6 Tube amplifier. It is a single ended 6 watts per channel amp.
My Speakers are 96 DB efficient Acoustic Research AR 1's with 500 watt Sunfire powered 15 inch woofers, so the little Chinese amp drives the shit out of them.
The original 6SN7 tubes were Russian OTK tubes, that actually sounded pretty decent.
The original Output tubes were Coke Bottle style 6P3s I think, basically 6L6GC's.
I found some old 6L6 Groove Tubes that really are 1975 Sylvania Tubes.
They were awfully bright compared to the original Coke Bottle tubes, but they seem to have settled down now.
I am unsure if the 6SL7 Tubes need to be GTB Tubes, however, I have tried to make sure that all the 6L6 tubes I have tried are 6L6GC's because this is a fixed bias amp, and I am unsure what voltage the output tubes are running at.
