RE: Speaking of rugged 6922 types

i have similar problem with Copland CTA-301 mkII pre amp, tubes don't last long and some tubes don't work at all. Bad kind cracking and flashing when turning on or awful hiss.

Today i tried new pair of Tesla PCC88's... not good. Hiss.
Last week new pair of EH6922's... noup, starts cracking and popping.

I have been using TAD 6922's that seem to last 4-6 months before going soft with sound. No problems at all, very silent, but sound is slightly dull, nice but yawn you know.

I guess i try Gold Lions next...
