Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
My Conrad Johnson is really hard on tubes. However the Gold Lion 6922 is very capable dealing with the stress. Even more so than the EH6922 in my setup.
I am VERY happy with the GL in every way. So no complaints in the sound department. Just thinking ahead for a future present to myself.
Reading the below post kind of got me thinking again.
1- Can the 7308 be used in my preamp and take being driven hard like the EH and GL versions?
2- If so which one would be best?
3- Is there any sonic advantage using the 7308 over the 6922?
I remember having a few of those $$$ 7308 tubes and really liking them. But that was years ago and we all know how memories can fool you.
