Several years ago, people had problems with a bad batch of JJ-2A3-40. But it seems the problem has resolved? I don't know. But I don't have any problem with any of the 6 JJ 2A3-40 I have.

I like the JJ better than EH but really, the JJ 2A3 are 300B with 2.5V filaments. And 300B and 2A3 are not that much different in Operating Points. I like the RCA 2A3 which are better sounding tubes than the Chinese or JJ.
