RE: Resource Recommendations for Vintage 6922s @ McShane

My apologies... when I first read your response to my reply to JNS... I thought you had mistaken the "Why" I had asked JNS regarding the difference between the Siemens with the codes etched on the outside of the tube versus the ones with the metal tags inside the tube. :)

Regarding tube matching. Personally, I never believed given that you are dealing with two tubes of the same type that tight matching of the gain and plate current between the two was critical.... but I was under the assumption that it was preferred particularly in designs where you can't manually bias the tubes.

But, now that is has gained my interest, I will check it out with Fred Volz who designed both my amp and preamp... as well as with Thorsten who designed my DAP. I appreciate your advice I don't need to be spending money where it is not necessary especially when it comes to vintage 6922s.
