Q_Bert,I read somewhere in the newsgroups that VonSchweikert has arranged replacement or repair for the drivers with the driver manufacturer and that his son, Damon, will do repairs on the rest. So I think they are under warranty..... at least I hope :-)
PS. Thanks for your advise regarding the amp for the 4.5 but after buying a house, more funiture car and speakers I do not have much left for a good front end. Send me an e-mail.
