RE: MTMs should ALWAYS be vertical

Because their output interacts with each other resulting in cancellations.

However, the interaction is almost completely the in the longitudinal axis of their array. So, if the array is vertical, the drivers horizontal dispersion is unaffected and remains wide while the dispersion in the vertical dimension is narrowly constrained and uneven. That's OK since most listener ears are at the same vertical level.

Turn the speaker 90degrees and now the horizontal dispersion is corrupted while the vertical dispersion allows for more reflections from the ceiling and floor.
