as we age and can't hear an upper-frequency response. So a problem in a speaker we audition at 30 may not be noticed at all when we're 60.
The problem is when 30-year-olds are relying on reviewers in their late 60s and 70s who can't hear as well and also listen to different music.
Experience? Well experience is valuable but it doesn't replaceability. You can't experience your way to hearing 17khz if you can't hear above 7khz. You can bring Nolan Ryan out of retirement but he's not going to experience his way to beating Clayton Kershaw.
