These are not the 600s

Thank you for your reply! The 600s had copper tweeters, aluminum enclosures, and the matching double subs, while the 700s had the aluminum tweeter with an aluminum enclosure. What is for sale is a par of SL6 with copper tweeter and wood cabs and a pair of SL6si with aluminum tweeter and wood cabs. The SL6S was an SL6 with a brace added, retaining the copper tweeter. I am interested in the SL 6si which I used to like but never owned. It is a 25 year old design and could it be as good as a well-designed but inexpensive PSB 2-way? One argument in favor of the Celestion is that a number of classic British monitors from that era continue to have fans and to be built and marketed in versions similar to the originals e.g. the LS3/5a, LS3/6, LS5/9, and various Harbeths. Another argument is that in today's dollars the SL6si would sell for between a thousand and fifteen hundred dollars as against the PSB's $549. I have a chance to hear the PSB though not sure how much I will be able to tell. Thanks again.
It's never too late to turn back the clock.
