If you've treated the 13x24 room's acoustics, the rest of what I have to say is irrelevant. But it's been my experience--in a semi-dedicated 14x30 room, a "lived in" 14x30 living/dining room, and an 11x13 bedroom that's beginning to look like Stonehenge--that perceived dynamic contrast is influenced not insignificantly by treating room modes and reflections. FWIW.
