I've auditioned the Ryan R630 speakers for a third time and got to compare them to Spendor D7, Sonus Faber Venere S, Vienna Acoustics Baby Grand SE and ProAc Response D30R.
I'm really impressed with the Ryan R630 and will be ordering a pair on the weekend.
They have a very realistic & well-controlled bass (despite their 38Hz rating), luscious midrange, sweet/detailed/non-fatiguing treble, wide soundstage and although they feature a rear port, they proved easy to place. At one point, I had them with only 15 inches of clearance behind them and it caused no issues.
So far I've only come across one review of the Ryan R630 speakers from Tone Audio and from my experience, I agree with the reviewer.
They should be at the top of your audition list.
