I don't if this is of any help to you, but I've owned the Ryan 620 speakers for almost two years. For amplification I'm using a Rogue Audio Cronus Integrated Magnum with the KT-120 tubes. I'd describe the sound as smooth and natural. Some other speakers, like the Reynaud Offrandes the Ryans replaced, I tended to think of as "warm". The Ryans are different. To me they just seem neutral. They certainly aren't lean and there's nothing bright about the tweeters. I wouldn't have kept them if I heard anything like that. To me, they sound right.
