Yes this is an expensive speaker, I would love a pair but same as most people can not afford them.However I did demo. a pair against the S1.4's with Thule electronics and they simply made the S1.4'S seem so harsh and boring in comparison that I could see why people who can afford either speaker simply say NO CONTEST!
