Home Rocky Road

From Classic Rock to Progessive to hip hop to today's hot new tunes!

You know, I've tried to like

Elvis for years and just can't. I'm not much of a Kinks fan, either, so what can you say? Stooges also have left me cold.
I think Sweet hit the mark with his first three efforts: not particularly deep but great pop music.
Okay, you convinced me to buy Jack's last cd: I own all the others, why not???
I like the first Libs cd so I guess I'll get the second and last, too. I've read many good things about the Babyfaces stuff, as well.
Perhaps the greatest pop cd I've ever heard that went nowhere, sales-wise, is the La's. Sure, that one song got covered a lot but otherwise... I guess the brains behind the group was impossible to work with and hasn't mellowed a bit, ergo his lack of productivity. It's one hell of a one-shot, though.
I'm all museumed-out after a week at the Met, MoMA, Whitney, Guggy, Folk Art and Children's museums.
I forgot you're a Knickerbocker or I'd have contacted.
We stayed on 81st across from the Natural History Museum (2 visits with the little one) and ate a hell of a lot at a great little bakery (Columbus) with wonderful sandwiches and assorted other goodies, all fresh as hell. The girls that work there are a hoot, too, especially the J-Lo-like Latina girl with attitude to spare.
