15 years ago, we'd occasionally go clubbing. Here, you not only would hear EDM, but DJs would play the alternate mixes of songs you already knew. Such was the case with La Bouche's "Sweet Dreams." At a club, we heard its "Oriental Mix," which you'd then find on single (either vinyl or CD).
In the mid-90s, my then-girlfriend ACS and I would take the "Sweet Dreams" CD single, and use the Oriental Mix, at audio stores. I still vividly recall getting to try Kimber 4TC & 8TC; MIT Terminator 2; Wireworld Atlantis; and XLO Ultra 6 & 12 speaker cables. ACS and I were not ready for the expensive XLO Reference Type 5, but that's what sweet dreams were made of :-)
