Faith No More, "Falling To Pieces"

I don't know how they did it, but in the mid-to-late 80s, my schoolmates found out about local Bay Area bands, such as Faith No More. As for the public at-large, FNM came into consciousness, with early-1990's "Epic."

30 years ago, we were in college, which, given that everyone was roughly the same age, was a vehicle for sharing music. You'd go out into the hall, see what was going on, perk up your ears, and be treated to new music. When it felt that life was getting stressful or challenging, FNM's "Falling To Pieces" became your anthem.

Supposedly, FNM weren't fond of performing "Falling To Pieces" live. In the times my friends and I saw FNM, I think we only heard them perform "Falling To Pieces" once, perhaps at the October 1991 Day On The Green. But anyway, by incorporating a variety of styles, FNM helped usher in the 1990s "alternative metal" wave.
