Thunderclap Newman - Something In the Air. From the LP Hollywood Dream 1970. The song was released in 1969 several months before the LP which sold very poorly. It's actually a great LP and this song left a deep imprint on my 11/12 year old brain. The video has a cool pic of the Haight/Ashbury sign I looked for but couldn't find when visiting in the early 70s - the streets were labeled individually on opposite sides of the intersection.
