I have the recent vinyl remix and I'm am happy at this point. I did notice. however, that it is loud, which makes me wonder about how much compression was used. I'll be transfering it to digital 24/96 and will look at the wav. to determine how much compression has been added. But at this point it brings me back to when I first heard this album over 40 years ago through headphones, albeit, much better.

BTW, I agree, over the years I have not be able to enjoy the album in stereo due to the sound. This appears to have solved that issue!
