Maybe it's just me, but I think of Syd Barrett as the real founder of Floyd, and Roger as the one who sustained it when Syd had his problems.
I like "Piper" quite a bit, but I admit to a strong preference for DSOTM on vinyl (is there a good CD version, PLEASE?) and Final Cut on CD.
