Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Thanks!...

That doesn't look familiar, I'll have to check it out.

Problem with a lot of the Cuban stuff is it was issued/reissued on CD
with various labels/covers which messes with my visual acuity.

I was fortunate to have worked at Amoeba music when the BVSC
HIT, and the amount of GREAT Latin music that started to flow in
correspondingly more than made up for my previous decades of
not really knowing where to start, plus the LPs were RARE
in these parts.

Been playing catch up for years with still a lot to discover.

Doesn't help that my Spanish is abysmal OR that I'm, well... disorganized...

So, I'll look for that.

Very cool you are from Guines!

I have the Estrellas de Areito series on Egrem LPs (what a label of treasures) and
like it much. I appreciate Juan Pablo Torres' important place in the continuum.
Not much of a fan of the more contemporary music from Cuba, like post 1980
or so, but the "traditional" music rock my soul.

"Currently Randomized". Love it and as much as this stoopid pandemic seems
to want to give me the time and space to unrandomize mine, it doesn't seem
to provided the energy.
