Interesting, since most Orch recordings Are done Live, to avoid separate recording sessions that are
difficult to fit into busy schedules, and probably saves $.
SFB recordings are all Studio, but I have about a 20 min clip on an old Metal Cassette of us playing Live on NPR, in 1981. I recorded over most of it, ( it was recorded around that time by RR at Zellerbach in Berkeley, in their First Orch Recording), so I felt I didn't need it- total bummer!
They did a Great job w/miking/sound, and it really has a lot of vitality.
'Course we were young and strong then.
Now they have a whole new crew of young people.
But as am I'm sure you know, Age and Treachery will win out over
Youth and Optimism every time...
