Just got the new 24/96 Vanessa and Khatia downloads of the Rachmaninoff Second Concerto. . .

I've just listened to a couple of individual tracks, and, so far, it's not looking good for the babes - either one (especially after I switched over to my Zimerman and Richter albums for comparison!). (I would have switched over to my Byron Janis recording too, but it was too much trouble to get up and get the SACD off the shelf - the Zimerman and Richter recordings were already safely on my hard drive!)

Anyway, for us babe musician admirers, it's possibly depressing (although there's some recompense in contemplating the album covers!). More comments tomorrow likely.
