I must profess that I am a bit amused that pointing out facts is something you see as throwing rocks because your personal preferences. You like them. That's great! Keep enjoying them.Knowing ore about them shouldn't prevent you from doing so.
But an honest fact based discussion about *what they actually are* is not throwing rocks.
It's particularly ironic that you would say "Bob used to post at least a little information about his source tapes. But it's this sort of nonsense that caused him to simply stop a year or so ago." in light of the so called "Mofi deception." I guess some audiophiles are more comfortable living in the dark.
Preferences are inarguable. And I don't see anyone challenging anyone else's *preferences* in this thread. But at the same time objective knowledge has value. It is the only thing that allows us to make informed choices and understand what we actually like and why.
One other thing that is particularly ironic is that I am still planning to order a few titles and make my own blind comparisons.
