"But if E-bay ever managed to charge my Bank Account Directly, that would be the end of my E-bay experience."For sellers, they now have what is called "managed payments" and no longer rely on PayPal for collection of funds as it is now done in-house. I have been on MP for a year now and it works well. eBay collects the monies from the buyer (more options for the buyer include Apple Pay, Viemo, all credit/debit cards, PayPal etc.). After the sale and the buyer has paid, the funds show up on their "seller hub", all fees (final value, listing, USPS shipping) are deducted from the payment and shows up in your summary. The appropriate sales tax from the buyer's state is added to the final purchase price and invoiced to the buyer and is included in their payment. eBay makes the tax payments to the individual buyer's state.
About 1 or 2 days later you will get a notice of "payout", couple days later the funds arrive in your checking account. PayPal is totally out of the system now for the seller. The only monthly invoice now you will receive is if you shipped with FedEx or UPS.
As a seller, I like it.
