I opted for Paypal's Visa credit card back in the day, because the funds were immediately available on a convenient card.
I left said card, along with my wallet, on top of my car while pumping gas and...you can fill in the rest.
Someone got hold of the Paypal card and charged the hell out of it, and when my Paypal balance got to Zero, my checking account began to get debited. My bad, but the number to call Paypal Visa and freeze the card was on the back of the stolen card and I never bothered to write it down. I then went to my bank and they said they couldn't decouple the card from my bank account.
In the end, my bank refunded all my money, but it was unsettling watching my balance go down in real time, online.
