Modern music isn't worth buying.
People stream for background music.
The nostalgia gang and hipsters buy vinyl.
CD's deserve better than this but there it is. No new music worth buying means lower CD sales.
If you're a classical fan there are incredible deals at Amazon - search on 'classical cd box set'.
