You might be right about availability but that's a different argument. I have no argument with availability. Everything is relative. "Good analog" provides subjective and technical performance characteristics "good digital" can't. Obviously there is a boatload of things that can be done to improve and given system. If you want to talk about off the shelf untweaked systems they're all pretty much junk if you ask me.
