I come out of the pc reclock the usb feed with an Uptone Audio REGEN then feed it to my Scott Nixon dac. The feed is now asynchronous but some days I question if it makes difference in the sound.

The usb goes from usb to I2S without using S/PDIF so it's pretty good. In your case it would pay to bypass usb and go to coaxial.
