I thought we were talking about PS Audio. Yes, it ain't cheap. There is a smoothness to the sound of the DirectStream DAC which may be particular to DSD. But what I find is that when I listen to the Oppo 105D solo it sounds a little crude in comparison. Quite clear but less pleasing. Just my 2¢.
